The mythical Sporades, in particular Skiathos Island are easily reachable from Pelion. If you have a particular longing to see classic Greek island life up close, then a Skiathos island day trip is recommended. Be prepared for lots of bustle, especially during the high season. To get to Skiathos from Pelion, we can book a water taxi for you. You will be picked up at the seaside village of Katigiorgis which is in and of itself worth a visit, as it is charming and has a great taverna which we highly recommend. A visit to taverna Areti for some amazing pasta and scampi would be a fitting end to a day in Skiathos. You’ll trek back to the peace and quiet of Happinest tired but satiated and contented.
