The treehouse is set in an olive grove garden right by the sea. Our wild and wonderful garden is a stopping point for visitors from Gardentours.nl and Naturetrek and was visited by the Mediterranean Garden Society. In spring the wild flowers vie for attention with planted irises, rosemary, aloe, lavender and Teucrium and bees buzz merrily throughout. It is a water wise garden based on the principals of Mediterranean gardening, so in the summer it goes into dormancy. However, the greens, greys and blues of the planting provide interest and you’ll be constantly surprised by the various delightful creature sculptures that inhabit our garden.
You can swim in the bay from a small, private stone platform or take a short walk along the sea to a large, sandy beach nearby. Other beaches with full amenities like Marathias , lonely planet pebbled coves with only goats for company or emblematic Tzasteni Bay are only a few minutes’ drive away.
Explore the secluded coast with a boat, including uninhabited Alatas island right across the waters and nearby Prassouda islet, both with ancient monasteries and crystal waters. Check out One Tree, immersed in a sea of yellow coral and silver fish.
For meals, head to the nearby coastal village of Milina with its many excellent tavernas. Cafes, mini markets and an excellent bakery in Milina will all help make your stay enjoyable.
All urban amenities can be found at the Port city of Volos just an hour away. It is also famous for its many tsipouradika, traditional taverns offering a bevy of Greek tapas called mezes.
